Verdict: An inspiring movie with great performance from the lead actors.

#PLOT.
   Joy Mangano [Jennifer Lawrence],is a divorced mother of two ,working at a small job,trying hard to raise up her family.She has a mother,her grand mother and more strangely her divorced husband living in her small house.Later her father who is a business man,Rudy[Robert De Niro],too moves to her house which makes it hard for Joy. She always had a great gift of inventing things from her childhood and her room was full of her small inventions.A she finds it hard to go ahead in life with so much responsibilities on her,she decides to do business and she invents a household mop.She convinces her fathers girlfriend to finance her and she starts making it in bulk.

    But when it came to marketing she fails miserably and everyone blames her for it.She falls into severe debt but she was not ready to bow down.She approaches the QVC executive Neil Walker[Bradley Cooper],who is suddenly impressed by her enthusiasm and determination,offers to help.After lots of hard work she becomes successful and starts to earn.But she realizes in life that success is not achieved without making enemies as she finds out that her patent diagram for the mop is stolen and more shockingly, it's her own people behind it.

 #POSITIVES.
1. The movie is based on a self-made millionaire who after lots of struggle achieved her success through great determination and courage.A truly inspiring story.
2. Strong performance from Jennifer Lawrence which gave her the nomination for the best actress for the Oscar's and Golden Globe's.
3. Robert De Niro is the legend and he can never put a feet wrong.
4. A much matured performance from Bradly Cooper.Different from many of his usual movies.
5. Well-written and well-directed.
6. A strong message that even after divorce,a husband and wife can still be great support to each other.

#NEGATIVES.
1. The movie deviates from the original path in between more towards her fathers romance.
2. Too dramatic as you must expect in a biography.
3. No commercial elements for main stream viewers.

#BOX OFFICE AND ACCOLADES.
   The movie was nominated for the Best Actress category for Jennifer Lawrence in both Academy Awards and Golden Globe's.Robert De Niro was also nominated in the supporting actor category in AARP awards.The movie was a financial success at the box office even though released  along many other big movies.It raked up $101 million gross against a budget of $60 million.
