REVIEW# 128
MOVIE: BROKEN ARROW [1996]
Genre: Action/Thriller
Cast: John Travolta,Christian Slater
Director: John Woo
IMDb rating: 6/10
Deeps rating: 7/10
Verdict: A non-stop action movie from the master director John Woo.
#PLOT.
Two pilots Major Vic Deakins [John Travolta] and Captain Riley Hale [Christian Slater] of the United States Air Force are assigned to fly a top secret mission carrying nuclear weapons in a B-3 Stealth bomber. Both are great friends sharing common hobby's and common secrets, but things gets worse over Utah when Deakins decide to betray the government and join hands with a bunch of mercenaries who plan to blackmail the US government.Riley was unaware of this pre-planned treachery from his friend and now it becomes his responsibility to save the nuclear weapons from his disloyal friend and the dangerous gang of mercenaries.'Broken Arrow' is a term used by Navy to represent a loss of nuclear weapon.
#POSITIVES.
1. Some serious action executed with great technical superiority from the master director John Woo.
2. Riveting plot along with fast narration makes this movie an intriguing watch. No doubt one of the best action movies of 90's.
3. Flamboyant performance from John Travolta, who steals the show as the anti-hero of this thriller.
#NEGATIVES.
1. Cliched and unrealistic sometimes.
2. I am not sure Christian Slater was a perfect opposite for an actor like John Travolta.
#BOX OFFICE.
The movie was well received at the box office. It is still considered as one of te best action movies of the last century. With a budget of over $50 million the movie collected more than $150 million world wide.

TIP OF THE DAY: DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOUR DREAMS,SHOW THEM!!!
