Verdict: An exciting crime thriller with a blend of true romance.

   John Dillinger[Johnny Depp],is a bank robber who is the most wanted public enemy of the state after a string of robberies and his attacks on prison to save his friends.John does his job quick and smart which leaves authorities very less time to react.But he is particular that he hurts no one during his work and is not willing to get into other crimes like kidnapping or drugs.With extra heat getting on authorities they promote Melvin Purvis[Christian Bale],to hunt down Dillinger and save the face of helpless police.He gathers a team of efficient cops and resume the mission of taking on Dillinger.

 Meanwhile Dillinger meets Billie Frechette,at a restaurant and for the first time, feels something inside him.Even though Billie runs away first,Dillinger follows her and convince her that his romance is true and will protect her all his life.Finally Purvis plan works and he captures Dillinger which makes news headlines.Dillinger is welcomed by a cheering crowd to the courtroom where he is successful in defeating the motion of the prosecutors to move him to a high security prison.Dillinger once again unveils his magic and escapes from prison.But this time to his surprise he finds many of his former associates turn their back on him,as they are into the new business of betting and Dillinger's presence will certainly draw attention of cops.

             Dillinger takes help of his old and more sincere friends and starts robbing a bank again.But their latest mission fails as Purvis tracks down his team and in this ambush all of his best friends gets killed leaving Dillinger alone.Billie's thoughts often concern him and he decides to meet her .Billie was both surprised and happy to meet Dillinger and they decide to go somewhere far and start a new life.Well....dreams betray us sometimes as Billie gets caught by a trap laid by Purvis.Now its up to Billie to decide between love and life.Billie has no way out unless she helps cops in finding the biggest public enemy wanted!

            The movie cannot be entirely projected as a crime thriller because finally its the romance between Billie and Dillinger which wins our heart.A remarkable movie well picturized and executed.Johnny Depp displays a lot more maturity and commitment in playing Dillinger.Marion Cotillard is a surprise element with her exceptional display as Billie which brought her many awards in various film festivals.Overall a motion picture which makes you motionless for two and a half hours.A movie not to be missed.
