Verdict:A cult classic

               Tony Montana, realized  by Al Pacino, is the best portrayal of a gangster, in world cinema.No one can depict Tony Montana, a character which goes through various emotions like greed, crime, love, betrayal and pain better than the legend, Al Pacino.I would laugh of any debate that claims any other actor, including Robert De Nero,essaying this character better than Al Pacino. The movie Scarface which was slammed by critics upon its release over excessive violence and profanity, received reappraisal from the same in the years that followed. The movie Scarface stands tallest among any other gangster movies because it tells you the story of the rise and fall of  one man while other movies they are a group of gangsters going through their emotions.Scarface is an iconic movie that will always remain the best among crime dramas.

           Tony Montana and Manny Rubera arrives in Miami as Cuban refugees in pursuit of an American dream and the only thing they know well is crime.Tony who doesn't understand the language of request try to clutch on all the beautiful things he likes in life,no matter how ugly and brutal his means are.He rises from being a dishwasher to a cocaine dealer and finally to a drug lord.On his way to top he either disease or diffuse all the obstacles on his way.Tony gets attracted to his mentor Frank's trophy wife, Elvira and makes her his own which is Tony's one and only romance.Tony by his sharp intelligence and never- to-die attitude reaches top leaving all his predecessors behind.His growth was so quick that he himself could not take the success.

            All these times he had his best friend Manny by his side but things starts to go fallacious when Tony starts losing his balance by getting addicted to alcohol and cocaine.Greed never parts with Tony as it starts his adrift with his loved ones.He changes into a wild animal shutting of  his ears to the advice of his wife and Manny.At worst times even your shadow deserts you and that's exactly what Tony found out in rel life.

           A crazy Tony becomes an easy target not only for income tax officials but also for his jealous felons.His best friend marries Tony's sister Gina which brings out the wild animal inside Tony.Now, alone in his gold mansion can Tony survive???!!!
           Scarface became a touch stone in Hollywood mainly because of Al Pacino's performance and De Palma's execution.Tony Montana's gaudy rise and fall will always be praised and remembered in the history of world cinema.Scarface led to the rise of hip-hop culture with the celebration of gangster life in all its aspiration and tragic doom.SCARFACE ROARS!!
           Certain scenes will remain in your mind forever especially the scene in which a fully drunk Tony abuses his wife in public and also the last scene where he confronts with his sister Gina.
