Verdict: An edge of the seat thriller...

      Panic Room ,is a type of a locker room built in big houses which is supposed to come in handy,in case of an emergency like a robbery or any type of outside attack.Once you get in the room ,no one can open it from outside.Its built with thick steel and you have every thing inside the room to survive for a few days.It  has displays of all surveillance camera's fitted in the house and moreover it has a separate telephone connection to contact outside world.You are always safe from anyone in a Panic Room.

       Meg Altman [Jodie Foster]and her 11 year old daughter,Sarah [Kirsten Stewart],move into a four-story building in New York City.The house had a Panic Room inside protected by concrete and steel ,to escape from burglars and other intruders and also a multiple security system.Meg who was recently divorced didn't like the Panic room idea but all the other facilities inside the house attracts her.So they both move in to their new building.On their first night,after dinner both go to bed in separate rooms and it seemed a sweet good night until something annoying happens!!!!

       Three armed intruders enter the house in search of some hidden money in the house as they were unaware of the fact that the house is occupied.Burnham,one of the intruder seemed a man with a heart as he wants the mission to be successful but without harming the occupants.The other two Raoul and his recruit are terrorists only interested in getting the hidden money.Meg gets alerted by the intruders and suddenly she goes to the other room and wakes up her daughter.Both run and gets locked in the Panic Room.The hidden money for which the three burglars are there is kept in that Panic Room.To add to Meg's and her daughter's misery,the phone line inside the Panic Room is not connected.Now its life or death not only for Meg and Sarah,but also for the three Burglars!!!!!
     Jodie Foster is the most composed and versatile actress in Hollywood.She has proved that point time and again through her movies.She is one of the few heroines who can carry a movie alone on her shoulders.She excels as Meg,with emotions and pain of a mother and a lady under captivity.Forest Whitaker renders a convincing performance as Burnham.It's a delight to watch the young Kirsten Stewart as Sarah.For all movie lover's who like thrillers, then this movie should be your first choice.GO FOR IT...
