Verdict: Refreshing. The movie which gives you 'HOPE'.

         Forrest Gump [Tom Hanks]is born with some slightly abnormal features than the rest of us.He is forced to wear leg braces and with a low IQ, he is a subject of fun for his school mates.Only his mother gives him confidence and he is her darling son with her husband abandoning her prior to Forrest's birth..He meets a girl called Jenny in school bus and both of them became the best of friends.Jenny has her own problems at home and so both spend a lot of time together sharing their troubles and cheering their time Jenny teaches Forrest Gump to run when ever he encounter a problem and one day as a miracle Forrest breaks off his braces and starts running himself as fast as no one can chase him anymore.He never stops running in life after that!!!!This quality of his gets him selected for playing football in his college and there was no stopping him after that.He receives a scholarship to the University of Alabama and henceforth being named on All-American team,and meeting President John F.Kennedy.

          After his graduation he decides to join army where he finds another friend named Bubba,who is someone obsessed with shrimps.He only talks about shrimps and his plans to purchase a boat to start shrimping business in future.All these times Forrest Gump never stops visiting Jenny who gets into a new world of free culture along with some hippies.Gump lets Jenny know about his feelings towards her but Jenny was in an entirely different world.Jenny doesn't like Forrest protecting her always and she tries to get away from him always.But a tender and sweet Forrest never stops loving her.Forrest and Bubba are send to Vietnam to serve under Lieutenant,Dan Taylor where once again Forrest surprises everyone by saving many lives of his platoon fellows in a sudden attack by opposing forces.Dan loses both his legs in the ambush and he is never happy with Forrest as he didn't allow him to die there along with his platoon members.He hates the very idea to live his rest of life in a wheel chair.But this brave act of Forrest wins him the Medal of Honor for his bravery.The only regret for Forrest in his Vietnam mission was the loss of Bubba who died in this attack.

   Forrest had promised Bubba that he will join his shrimp business and to keep his promise he purchase a boat and starts his shrimping.Lt.Dan decides to keep apart his difference with Forrest and joins him in his shrimping venture.Both make huge money and starts a new shrimping company.Forrest becomes rich and achieves more than a man could even dream with the kind of inabilities he posses.. But one thing always hurt his mind.Jenny was the girl and goal of his life.Life was empty for him without her!!!
     The movie is so pure and fresh that it will leave you with a smile.Top class performance from Tom Hanks is the main highlight of this movie.The movie won various awards including the Oscar's and Golden Globe's.It was a huge commercial success too.As one of the sweetest movies ever made in Hollywood ,you don't want to miss this.
