Verdict : A GOOD SUSPENSE THRILLER.FOR THE ONE'S WHO LIKE OLD COWBOY MOVIES.

     Mrs.Bold and Beautiful.That's what Sharon Stone was in 90's.The Lady Superstar,that was she with her charming looks and talent.She was the heart throb of millions of guys around the world and she stirred the passion of youth with her sensual movies.Many of her movies went on to become huge successes at the box office despite harsh critic reviews.There was no stopping her and she was patently the sex icon of the 90's.

                 Leonardo DiCaprio,the ever charming superstar of Hollywood.His long career is overflowing with films which are both critically acclaimed and box office winners.His talent is unmatched as one must say, he planned his career so well.Still one of the top billed actors in Hollywood,I must say that the best of him is yet to come.In this movie he plays a 'KID' ,but the charm he evokes and the maturity he renders to his character deserves praise.

              The old West town of Redemption ,seems strange as one can possible imagine; if something like that ever existed in this world.For them life was all about killings, as the the bad were the brave and the good were cowards.Killing was considered as one's bravery and they were not afraid of death.Pain was their passion and lawlessness their theory.No water,no justice,no love,no mercy...in many ways the town stinks.A town filled with outlaws and ruled by the worst of them.
            John Herod[Gene Hackmen] ruled the town and everyone's life was his mercy.The KID[Leonardo DeCaprio] a sharp shooter and a brash young man believed that John Herod was his father.but the latter refused it all the time.A contest is planned by John with a huge prize money which attracts many shooters from nearby.John's idea was to bring in his enemies to his place and kill them in the game as he didn't want anyone of them to shoot him from behind.John ,who was the best shooter was confident of winning  this killer game thus eliminating most of his enemies.He drags in Cort [Russel Crowe] an old outlaw with John,but who changed into a preacher as he was fed up of killings.John imprisons him and threateningly enlists him in the game.
             An unnamed gunslinger called the Lady [Sharon Stone] arrives in the town to everyone's surprise.She soon impresses all with her skills by saving Cort from John's dirty game in the bar.She too decides to enlist herself in the game amidst John's mock at the Lady that ,ladies are not shooters.The lady has a vengeance in her heart as John and his men killed her father when she was young.Her intention is purely revenge against John.
            As the rules are laid out for the game ,two shooter fight  each round and the one who shoots the other first at tick of the clock ,wins.The other won gets killed.After the preliminary rounds only four shooters remain alive.John,Curt,The Kid and The lady.All three are them wants to kill John but for that the rules has to be followed and the rules are laid down by John itself.Now its John v/s The Kid and The Lady v/s Curt.That means Father v/s Son and The lady v/s the Lover.Who will win and reach the final ???Who will win the final?That's where the suspense lies.I am sure you will like the climax.
           This movie has a dream star cast.It was Russel Crowe's first American movie.All of them has given their best ,but Sharon Stone and Leonardo needs special mention.With an absorbing BGM this movie is worth your time.
