Verdict: Great thriller with some mind blowing action.Must Watch.

                 Critics can be annoying sometimes.They sound stupid.This movie suffered a lot because of then during its time of release.I felt that it was a deliberate step from them to degrade a great movie during release,may be they were not happy for Stallone's growing stature during the 90''s.Other than that i cant imagine any other reason for their reproval of Assassins during the time of release.But the stardom of the great Stallone saved the movie from sinking and it managed to collect decent money at the box office.The movie had a heavy star cast with Antonio Bendares and Julianne Moore along side Stallone.

             Sylvester Stallone plays Robert Rath, an assassin who makes a living out of it.He targets people who are called his marks through an unknown person whom he has never seen.They communicate through a computer and the assigned mark is eliminated by Rath.He was considered as the best in business as his mentor Nicolai was eliminated from the field by Rath itself.This incident haunts him lifelong.To add to his worries another assassin suddenly appears in the field to challenge Rath and tries to take over his targets.Miguel Bain[Antonio Bendares] ,who appears to be a sociopath challenges Rath for the prestigious no.1 position.Rath tracks him down but Miguel escape from his clutches.
             Rath decides to quit the field after a last assignment which is supposed to be a lucrative task,that of killing a computer hacker named Electra [Julianne Moore] and retrieving a very classified CD from her.Miguel reaches the scene first but Rath manages to get hold of Electra and her CD.He decides to save her life and tries to sell the CD to his unknown master for a hefty sum.This makes Rath a mark for his master and Miguel is assigned to eliminate Rath once forever.
             Miguel plans to eliminate Rath the same way, Rath eliminated Nicolie in the past.Rath well aware of Miguel's restlessness and paranormal etiquette, tries to play with Miguel's patience leading to an intriguing climax which will nail you to your seats.The movie is full of great action scenes especially the one's including Rath and Miguel.
             Stallone was arraigned for his lacklustre performace by the critics during the release time which according to me is highly deplorable.In fact I felt Stallone had excellent control over his character which was required to play a silent,level headed ,Rath.Critics err often,after all they too are humans.Antonio Bendares gave a stunning performance,a role perfectly suited for his personality and stamp.The movie is fast paced and it gets exhilarating towards the end.I am watching it for the second time,but still after 20 years I had the same passion and excitement for the movie.I FEEL YOU MUST WATCH THE MOVIE AND TRY TO ELEVATE IT'S RATING FOR OUR FUTURE GENERATION.ITS NEVER TOO LATE.
