Verdict : An investigative thriller.

 

One of the oldest serving agent,the sole-active serving personal from the J.F.K guards during his murder,agent Frank Horrigan[Clint Eastwood],stumbles upon an investigation about a paranormal guy who is planning to assassinate the American president.His mistake made during the JFK assassination haunting him all life,he decides to investigate into this threat.An aging Frank,meets with the agents responsible for presidents safety and requests his return to the Presidential Protective Detail.Meanwhile the guy call's Frank and introduces him self as Booth and Frank asks the official to tap his calls in order to track the guy down.

  As the elections approaching and the president trailing,he is on a hectic election campaign.The old Frank finds it difficult to cop up with this schedule and he almost becomes a liability to the team.Booth carries on the telephonic conversations with Frank remembering him of his past failures and his motive behind to kill the president.Every attempt by the federal team to catch Booth fails and this put the president's security at high risk.

       Frank loses his temper many times and the team decides to put him away during the main Californian campaign,which is the event Booth intents to assassinate the president.Disappointed Frank on his way back suddenly sum up all the leads and derive at a conclusion.He turns back in hurry after cracking the clue,but will it be too late???!!!!

    Clint Eastwood looks aged and tired but it doesn't matter at this perfectly suits his character Frank,who is just the same.But I felt,he lacks the same flair as an agent like a Sean Connery or Tommy Lee Jones.But it was a pleasant surprise to watch him try something else from his usual cowboy image.John Malkovich gave full justice to his character.I felt the movie a bit too lengthy and if better trimming this would have been a great watch.But still it's a robust movie with good twists and turns.GO FOR IT..
