 #PLOT.
This movie is a remake of the famous 1954 movie directed by Akira Kurosawa named Seven Samurai.A small village of poor peasants is attacked regularly by a group of bandits under Calvera, for food and other supplies. The poor farmers are left with nothing after the raids and so they decide to react. As per the advice of the village old man they decide to buy guns with whatever leftovers they have and so three villagers embark upon a journey to the United States border. There they come across a veteran gunslinger Chris Adam[Yul Brynner] and explains him about their problems.Chris offers help and together they decide to hire gunmen for the task.Chris meets his old friends and finally they put together a team of seven, who are highly skilled and committed. This team is so talented and deadly that they are called 'The Magnificent Seven'.
They reach the village and takes control by building new walls and trenches to protect the borders. They attack some of the spies of Calvera and take the weapons from them.By these weapons they train the villagers to fight. The morale is high and everyone is happy until Calvera comes back for his next visit. This time with a group of 40 men who are highly armed and treacherous.Even though Even though the odds  seems to be be against them ,The Magnificent Seven decide to fight on or else the village will fall into the hands of Calvera. They have to pull out every trick from their box to save the poor farmers and the village.
#POSITIVES.
1. An excellent and thrilling plot that will keep you engaging throughout.
2. The perfect western sets which seems much better than any modern western movies.
3. Superb performances from all lead actors. Most of them went on to become great stars in future.
4. Great dialogues with some memorable one liners.
5. Good background score which was even nominated for the Oscar's.
#NEGATIVES.
1. The movie slows down in between with some unnecessary romantic scenes squeezed in.That affects the flow of the movie and made it a bit longer.
2. The comparison with the original directed by Akira Kurosawa.

#BOX OFFICE AND SEQUELS.
The movie was well received by the critics upon it's release. It didn't do well at the US box office but made big money at the European markets which made it profitable. It is still one of the most shown movies in US Television history. It's also ranked No.79 on the AFI's list of 100 most thrilling American movies.
Various sequels came in coming years;the most prominent being the one in 2016 with Denzel Washigton as the central character. The movie was a big success at the box office.

TIP OF THE DAY: THROUGH MY EDUCATION I DIDN'T JUST DEVELOP SKILLS,BUT I DEVELOPED CONFIDENCE.
