Verdict: A chase and run drama.Interesting in parts.One-time watchable.

  The opening scene shows Gideon [Pierce Brosnan] is being shot and chased by Colonel Morsman Carver[Liam Neeson] and his three accomplice's.Their chase is trough the Ruby Mountains covered with heavy snow.Gideon escapes the first shot and tries to evade them in many ways.He manages to kill one of the accomplice and finds shelter at a small farm house.He pays them money and gets a horse and he continues his run.The little boy in the farm house steals all his money and he struggles to find food and water.

     The chase continues from the snowy mountains to the high planes and both Gideon and Morsman crosses their path many times and every time Gideon manages to escape from Morsman and his men.Morsman starts to lose his men one by one in this chase which continues for weeks.The reason behnd the chase is kept as a mystery till the end.

       After the end of civil war in America Gideon was ordered to track down former Confederate officer's and thus he reaches Morseman's home.He orders to burn down the farmhouse but accidentely the fire spreads to the house where Morseman's baby was sleeping.In pursuit of saving the baby all of Morseman's family gets killed by fire.Gideon actually didn't mean to hurt his family but this incident seeds vengeance inside Morseman against Gideon.Finally both come face to face.

     Exhausted and wounded, both Gideon and Morsman try to fight it out One for his survival and the other for his revenge.But killing one won't save the other as they are in the middle of a desert with no water and no food for survival.But the fire inside Morsman couln't be exhausted till he kills Gideon.
      The movie starts off well with some great visuals and stunning performance from Pierce Brosnan.He enacts Gideon to perfection.Its refreshing to see him in a different role after his 007 heroics.Liam Neeson too try to come out of his action image but he still gets stuck in these revenge dramas.But he doens't disappoint you entirely.The movie slowly moves from a thriller to a sentimental which makes it lose pace.It drags you in between as the mystery behind Morsman's hunting is kept as a secret till the end.Anyhow a well crafted movie and according to me ,watchable.
