#PLOT.
The movie is set during the early 1900's when violence was the language in Texas.A gang of ruthless outlaws enter from Mexico and they raid the ranches of the rich and famous McCandles family. After killing many slaves and other helpers they kidnap Little Jake, who happens to be the grandson of Jacob McCandles famously called 'Big Jake'[John Wayne]. They leave a note of ransom demanding $1 million for Little Jake's freedom.Even though both the army and Texas Ranger's offers help to free him,Martha realizes that to deal with harsh and ruthless criminals he need another harsh man and so he sends a note to 'Big Jake'. He arrives with his Dog and along with his two sons he follows the outlaws to free his grandson.
#POSITIVES.
1. JOHN WAYNE....People watch John Wayne movie to see him in action. He is main attraction than the story or screenplay.
2. A perfect story to display the heroics of the Iconic hero.
3. The motor cycle stunts shown in the movie stands out better than many modern day movies.
4. It was George Sherman's last movie and he signs off in style.
5. John Wayne's real son Patrick Wayne, portrays James McCandles in this movie.Wayne's youngest son,Ethan Wayne plays the role  of Little Jake.
#NEGATIVES.
1. It's not fair to put a movie of 1970's under the scanner now and point out the negatives.
#BOX OFFICE.
The movie was well accepted by both the audience and critics. It was one of the last movies of the Iconic John Wayne. It collected more than $7 million dollars at the box office which was huge at those times. The movie still is won of the leading movies in DVD sales in US.

TIP OF THE DAY: THE HUNT IS ALWAYS SWEETER THAN THE KILL.
