Verdict: A great thriller in the background of ocean.Navy Seal movies are always a delight..

                  Hollywood's own martial arts hero.That is Steven Seagal......He stood apart from the rest of hero's of his time with his unique style of acting and different genre of action.He made a unique crowd of fans across the world and that's the prime reason of the grand success of many of his movies during the 90's.Steven Seagal was a special actor with a more special brand of smile in every way.

          
                  The movie is all about the decommissioning of the battleship USS Missouri and the incidents following the hijack attempt by a group of mercenaries led by an ex-CIA operative William Stranix [Tommy Lee Jones] during the ships final voyage.Casey Rayback [Steven Seagal] a chief petty officer is assigned as a cook and the one responsible for the daily menu of the Captain goes against the order of the Commander in ship named Krill ,who decides to flow in food from outside by a helicopter for captain's birthday party.Krill locks up Casey in the kitchen freezer before the helicopter arrives with men supposed to bring in food and entertainment for the party.

                The helicopter arrives amidst cheers from marines inside the ship but along with food and girl it brings in men who has undertaken the mission to hijack the ship and take control over its weaponary.Chaos follows as marines who tries to defend are killed and others get locked up.William Stranix takes control as the captain of the ship and his plans are to sell the Tomahawk missiles to a North Korean submarine..His first step to shoot down  a jet send jitters to Pentagon officials and the desperation starts to grow among the officials.

             Casey hear the gun shots and escapes from the freezer with the help of a private guard and decides to save the ship and  its weapons from the enemies.Casey,a former war hero has to produce all possible mastery to battle against  these well trained  hijackers and that too single handed.Pentagon breaths sigh of relief when they come to realize that Casey is on board and his is on with his operation.Will Casey be able to bring down William Stranix and save to ship and its weapon system?????That's the big suspense awaiting you in this great action thriller which is one of the best Navy Seal movie's ever made.

       A great movie which will make you hold your breath till the end,Every frame of this movie is so wonderful; depicting the full beauty of high seas to utmost perfection .The action scenes involoving Seagal are the heart of this action thriller.Steven Seagal with his distinctive action skills depicts his role as Casey to utmost perfection.Tommy Lee Jones ;the legendary actor plays the felon ,William Stranix with equal immaculateness.Can't ask for more.Under Siege went on to win two nominations for the Oscar's.The movie was so successful that the makers decided to make a sequel of this movie in 1995 called Under Siege 2: Dark Territory.
