Verdict: A kidnapping mystery solved through a cell phone.A great suspense thriller 

               Ryan[Chris Evans],is an irresponsible and a selfish teenager who gets dumb by his girl friend for the same reason,is out to prove her wrong.He was on his way to fetch some T-shirts for her girlfriend and co.when he gets a phone call by a stranger women who says that she was kidnapped and Ryan must not disconnect till he reaches a police station.Ryan tries to ignore first,but cries of that lady has some affect on him and decides to take the cellphone to the nearby police station.He hands over the cellphone to a police officer,who takes the initial notes but a sudden problem in the station diverts his attention.Ryan has no time to lose as the hears over the phone that the abductors are going to kill her and the whole family,thus decides to take the task of saving them by himself and sets off in his car.But the biggest muddle is that he should never disconnect his phone or else he will lose the lady and the location.

       Jessica Martin[Kim Basinger],the lady abducted,instructs Ryan to save his child from school before her kidnappers reach there but Ryan fails in his attempt.Now with Both lady and her child in their custody Ryan must act swift to save their lives.Ryan learns that the abductors are actually cops and this makes his mission all the more difficult and they are behind something secretly kept in a bank locker by the kidnapped ladies husband.Ryan must keep the battery of his cellphone charged and has to switch cars to be in constant touch with the lady.Ryan manages to collect the bag the mysterious packet from bank by beating down cops and he discovers that the bag contains a video camera showing the illegal killings of drug dealers by bad cops.

      Ryan,now with the solid evidence against the bad cops decides to challenge them and calls up the chief of abductors Ethan[Jason Statham] and orders the release of the entire family in exchange for the video camera.The only person who can identify Ryan is the cop he handed over the phone at first in the police station,Mooney and the felons decide to take the help of Mooney to hunt Ryan down.Mooney has no idea behind the incidents and the camera and so he decides to help the bad cops but as a sincere and efficient cop for 27 years in service, will he allow Ryan to be killed by Ethan and crew???

  As the movie unfolds scene by scene it pumps up your adrenaline and finally rouse you with a near perfect climax.Some electrifying action sequences and some gripping moments makes your watch all the exciting.Investigation through a cellphone and finally a climax ending by a cellphone ring makes perfect sense by the makers to name the movie 'Cellular'.
      Jason Statham plays anti hero in this movie but this never takes any charm away from his character or from him.He as always, steals the movie with his screen presence and action.Chris Evans,plays the most important role in this thriller and he does the job entrusted with utmost perfection.He looks handsome and suits perfectly for the role of a teenager kid.Kim Basinger,does portray her emotions and pain in full bloom.This movie will incite you throughout and please don't miss it.
