                  Sir Thomas Sean Connery was the face of Hollywood cinema for decades in the last century.His 007 heroics were the most widely watched movies especially in third world countries during the 1970's and 1980's.I have already written about the Bond effect till the Sylvester Stallone age in my earlier page of Cliffhanger.This Scottish actor shot to fame with Bond movies and entertained the whole world, even putting the Hollywood cinema in a spot of bother,as he was the selling poster of English movies in many countries.Almost all his bond movies made huge money and helped Sean to ensure his supremacy in World cinema.He captured the heart of millions with his charming face,cunning eyes and alluring smiles.

                He was called The Pope of Movie Theology and the King Of Scotland.He was elected The Most Sexiest person of the Century in 1999 at an age of 69.He has won many awards including the Academy Awards and the Golden Globe.He still continues as the one of the most respected personalities in the World.I am dedicating this page to Sir Sean Connery,an actor who made me, a movie addict through his movies in the 80's and 90's.

               Apart from Bond movies he has also given many other memorable movies ,one being The Hunt of Red October.This movie is all about the cold war era when both US and USSR tried to match each other with new technological inventions so as stay ahead in battle field.Marko Aleclsandrovich was a prominent submarine captain of Soviet Union who is  famous around the world for combat skills and training expertise.He was made charge of the newest submarine with the latest Caterpillar technology which was a new invention as far as submarine technology was concerned.It helps the submarine to sail silently  without being detected by any known devices then available.The submarine was called Red October which was assumed to put Soviet Union one step ahead in Naval war fare.Marko ,who was the Captain of this vessel for  its maiden voyage ,had other ideas.
     
              He decides to defect from his country and seek asylum in US and he tries to convince the crew about this.Before the voyage he sends a letter to his officials briefing his intensions .This letter creates too havoc and headache among the Russians and they finally decide to hunt Red October down,their prestige vessel,a vessel which was hard even for them track down with a high profile captain at its helm.Meanwhile US is at its toes by the news of the maiden voyage of Red October.Markos movements make US confused of whether he is getting prepared to attack them or destroy their vessels in Atlantic.So they too decide to destroy Red October and its crew.But Jack Ryan [Alec Baldwin] a CIA analyst ,who knows Marco before and respects him for his aptitude firmly believes that Marko will never do something foolish like an attack on US.He tries to convince the US officials about this and take the task into his hands to save Marko and help him if he is willing to defect.But things looks too complicated as a huge Russian fleet and the US navy,all behind one man Marco and his impenetrable vessel Red October.Russians also succeed in convincing US that Marco is getting ready to attack them.
           
            Will Jack be able to save Marco??Will Marco lose his temper??Will the Soviet fleet reach him and destroy him before the US?I dont want to disclose those facts here.Find it yourself as this movie will take your senses to another world of thrills and excitement.This movie with its excellent cinematography ,direction  and great performances from the lead actors,will impress you every moment.The film has perfect climax and I would say ...GO FOR IT TODAY ITSELFFF...
